Bringing in the good news
Tags: contest, news, sitely, | Friday, March 12, 2010 [ 2 Comment ]First things first, the "good news", unfortunately, does not include anything related to the site. I apologize, but for the past several months, I've been lacking inspiration and motivation to get much of anything done in terms of design or scripting. I'm hoping that, come April, I'll get to coding the script for Intox as I'll finally be attending the nearby anime convention, AnimeDetour, here.
Secondly, the contest is closed and has ended about a month ago. The winners have been chosen and the prizes have already been sent as well. Again, I apologize for the total silence on my part. Thank you to all of the contestants who made the contest a wonderful success and many congratulations to the winners! The winners are Ongaku of Kakyoku in first place, Misaki of Wasurenaide in second place and Jayme of Captured Fragments in third place. Please visit their wonderful sites. ♥
Third (and just before I get to the good news), I've gotten a few new link exchanges since my last update. I apologize (again) for being late in their introductions, but please visit Tamaneko of Tamaneko Designs and Phoenix of The Forgotten Lair! Both sites are excellent sites and deserve a visit.
FINALLY, I'm not sure how good any of you will consider this news, but for me, this is the news I've been waiting ages to hear! On March 11, 2010, June Manga has announced that it will be releasing Yamane Ayano's Finder Series in the Summer of 2010!! All of us fans who have been trying desperately to find a copy of our own will only have to wait a little longer. Someone has finally picked up this title again, so we're almost there! The wait is almost over! I can't wait!!
And finally, along with my first ever anime convention, my good friend, Ebony and I (along with her little sister) will (hopefully) be attending Yaoi Con 2010 as well! More confirmation of this will be given in the next few months. For their tenth year anniversary, they'll be bringing Yamane Ayano back as the special guest. What an amazing year this is definitely going to be. ♥ Wishing you all the best! Till next time~
Coming Changes
Tags: sitely, news, | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 [ 6 Comment ]Hello again everyone! I'm here to notify you lot of some upcoming changes. After a discussion with Kyuu today, and many days of endless pondering, I've finally come to a conclusion. It's not exactly good news, but it's not bad either, so please bear with me.
Before I go into that though, please welcome my new link exchanges: Liv of A Mirage Unspoken and Lucien of Hakanai Designs. Both are new sites, but show a lot of prospective, so do check them out. And then, just to get this off my chest, because I really do get offended when it happens, and it has happened more times than I'd like to say, when you apply for link exchange, please actually LINK ME BACK within a timely manner. I always try to respond to emails within a week's time, and considering the fact that you applied to LE with Intox, it would be appreciated. It's a bit irksome otherwise.
Somewhat along that same line, the contest is still ongoing. There are currently five entries (thanks to Kyuu for entering), but I'd really like to see a lot more in the next few weeks. Christmas and New Years is a busy time with university students taking finals and work going insane, but please remember you only have until February 12, 2010. Get them in before then!
And finally, there is going to be some major changes to the site in the next few weeks to months (hopefully less, depending on my motivation). I will be converting shonen-ai.org into more of a yaoi site than a graphics site. In short, yaoi reviews, rants, information, possibly some scanlations and the like (I'm also aiming for some fan material, but we'll see how that goes). Submissions will be accepted for reviews, rants and fan related materials. The graphics will still be accessible, and predominantly yaoi based, but no longer the focus of the site. Therefore, any LE or affiliate who wishes to drop once the changes are complete are free to do so. A courtesy email would be appreciated, but not necessary. All affiliates will be notified once the change is complete to see if they still desire affiliation.
For those curious, the reason for this change is the fact that lately, my desire to create graphics has continuously decreased. Whether or not that's believable might be a different story, but it's true nonetheless. However, knowing that I cannot let go of designing completely, I have decided to shift the focus of this site to something that I know I'll continuously be interested in and that is yaoi.
This will probably be my only update this month so, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!! See you all again in 2010! Hope everyone has a blast this lovely holiday season!
