About & History
Intoxicated Designs is a yaoi/shounen-ai based graphics site. The terms yaoi and shounen-ai (sometimes spelled shonen-ai) basically means boys' love. The purpose of this site is to provide quality designs and graphics for those who, like me, adore shounen-ai and yaoi. It became apparent to me that general AniManga design sites didn't provide the quality I was looking for in the selective shounen-ai graphics they had and so, this site was born.
Intoxicated Designs initially began around late April 2007, but was never truly open to the public until mid July 2007. IntoxD. rests within my spare domain name, shonen-ai.org, which is both registered and hosted under DreamHost. IntoxD. began as a solo project and remains to be a solo project, although submissions are accepted (they are screened before being added to the site).
Almost every image used on the graphics provided by IntoxD. is from a shounen-ai and/or yaoi original animanga series, video game, doujinshi or manga-ka. There may be instances in which the series used is not related to BL, but the pairing present will be BL intended (example: screenshots of Axel and Roxas from the in game scenes of KH2). The reason for this is to keep the theme of BL alive and going. After all, that's what this entire site was created for.

Version four features my latest obsession, the Junjou Egoist pair! I wanted something different from the previous three layouts and I think this one somewhat pulled it off. Although, when I look at it again, it seems the only real difference is that the banner for this one doesn't blend right into the background. Either way, I'm happy with the result. This is yet another pure DIV layout.

Yet another purely DIV layout, this is the first dark themed design for Intoxicated Designs! I'm actually extremely happy about the outcome of this design. I was dying to create a Zack/Cloud layout for Intoxicated Designs, although my mind was completely blank as to how it would turn out. I figured I would deviate a bit from my general left aligned design and centered the design. For having had no inspiration, I definitely think this layout turned out better than expected.

Unlike the previous layout, this layout is purely DIVs, which made it hellishly difficult for me to code since I had to go in and float and clear so many things. I'd say the coding to this layout took a lot more time and effort than the actual banner. I was somewhat disappointed at the fact that it looks very similar to the first layout's banner. However, I'm still quite pleased with the outcome, overall. I'm madly in love with the color scheme and navigation to this design as well. Also, for the first time ever, I've upped the font size from 11px to 12px, mostly for myself because it's getting harder for me to see.

This layout took three hours to color and another two hours to design. The HTML and CSS coding took up approximately two days to finish. The layout consists of multiple tables and one dividing layer. The navigation took the longest (aside from the banner) to create, as I couldn't figure out what would've looked best. In the end, I went for a text based simple navigation and content. All in all, I'd say this is one of my best pieces of work. I'm quite proud of it.
